Dreamcage recording their 2023 EP ‘Life & Loathing’
Somehow summer has been and gone already, and I once again find myself with a stuffy nose and a cough, writing a blog post on a Sunday morning in early October. This has been the most incredible year for me personally, watching artists new and old work tirelessly, create amazing music, play to packed out rooms and always want to do more. It has also been a great year for music releases, and discover- so much so that I started a That Creep Records playlist over on Spotify (link on our Linktree).
Now, we are coming into a very busy and exciting period in lots of artists journeys- festival season is over and gig season has sprung into life. Dreamcage will be hitting the road in November for some UK dates to celebrate the release of their new single ‘Gone & Stay’. We have already had some great reception on this single, and it will be out for the world to hear on November 1st 2024. I’ve been working with my longtime roster faves on a new project, too, which is going to launch into the world at 5PM TOMORROW (07/10/24).
Next up is Megs, my talented new signing from Stroud, Gloucestershire- where we both grew up together. Other than being a friend of 15 years, she is a multidisciplinary artist with skills in music, writing, crafts and painting. She has such a clear vision on her branding and music, and has created props / shoots and set designs herself along with her partner Finn behind the camera. Their commitment and professionalism has absolutely blown me away for an artist so young in her career, and we have gone from storyboarding a concept to having an EP ready to release in three months.
The first single ‘Sad Picnic’ is out everywhere on 18th October 2024- but don’t worry, the song is not the only medium of art that she will be releasing! Guess you’ll have to stay tuned !
