Sepia toned, dreamy, reverb where it matters: Sad Picnic has all the staples of a heart break anthem in the making. For someone so young in her career, megs has displayed an extraordinary level of musicianship and maturity. Producing, singing, and playing the instruments in her debut single was only the start of her creative journey with this song.
Over the last four months she has presented me props (clay dogs heads?), picnic baskets, charity shop dresses, drawings of lambs, a thousand different fonts to spell her name in, animations, and countless ideas. It feels like we have opened a creative boiling pot, and it’s spilling over everywhere- and we just love the burn!
